Vacation Time!

This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;

VacationAhhh . . . its vacation time. Its time to relax, let your hair down, pull the shades and have some fun. The Caribbean Island sounds like a great place to escape as life begins to unfold. Your thoughts begin to drift to a cool refreshing beverage on the beach as you take in the beautiful sundays. You think to yourself, "Life doesn't get any better than this." The island music begins to lull you to sleep then suddenly you are told, "that break time is over and its time to get back to work"! The day dream has ended just that fast.

As a member of the working class, vacation time is one of the most important aspects of working a job. Each new employee generally receives two weeks (2) vacation with a few sick days to boot. The task of working starts out as an enjoyable duty until life happens; people change, the boss notices certain character flaws that he must document for later review, or the work site receives a new directive from the "big boss". Either way, the promised vacation time off begins to resinate in ones mind and the longing for time off sets into the mind. So, you begin planning your vacation early to ensure that all things are done and that nothing will come between you and your time off. You request the time off then you hear the proverbial NO YOU CANNOT TAKE OFF. This is our busiest time of the year or someone else scheduled that time already; you must select another.

familyThis same vignette can been seen in the scriptures in the book of Genesis where God (Elohim) did extraordinary things over a six day period then rested on the seventh day. This day was so special to him that he blessed and sanctified that day. However, many years later another management team came in and changed the vacation directives. Its time to tell the boss that I'm going to take the vacation that was promised to me from the beginning of time. Before their was a "law of God" given to Moses their was the seventh day sabbath of rest. Take time off to enjoy what God (Elohim) has done for you.

    I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. God has made promises to his people throughout the bible that he has faithfully kept.

    From Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and many others; God continued to keep every promise that he made to his people. Before he left to heaven to be with the father, Jesus said that he would never leave us or forsake us even until the end of the age.

    This promise is to every believer that believes on Christ as the scriptures has said; bless are they they do his commandments for they shall have a right to the tree of life. Choose Jesus today.
