The Just Must Live By Faith

Faith In God

Twitter logoTwitter, MySpace, Facebook and other social networking sites have become an outlet for internet savvy users to stay in contact with the world. This technology has allowed us to vent our frustrations out to the world; well at least to those that are on our friends list. When these frustrations are shared with others, we feel a sense of relief knowing that others may comment on a similar issue or concern. I noticed this once while Tweeting about a e-mail server problem that I was faced with that day. The messages were bouncing back to the user which caused me to Tweet the following: the just must live by faith, so why are my e-mail messages bouncing?

church windowThis simple lesson in life caused me to reflect on my relationship with God. The question that I faced was "when faced with a difficult task or problem; who do I turn to first?". Naturally, the next question followed: "how should I behave if I do not have a resolution in a timely manner?" The answers were found in the scriptures, "the just must live by faith‚" in God. God’s word provides a way of escape during every situation that life may bring your way. The bible does not handle the issues of technology, the internet, or how to gain more friends on twitter but it does provide general ways to deal with daily issues. Jesus says, “I am the same yesterday, today, and forever more”. The ultimate comfort came when I reflected on this passage, "I will not leave you nor forsake you," and "if you keep your mind stayed on him (Jesus), he will keep it in perfect peace". These two passages ushered in a calm that allowed the answers to flow in as a rushing mighty river

Father Abraham was a good example of the walk of faith. Elohim told Abraham to leave his own country, people, and father’s house to go to a land that he would give to him. Elohim made a promise that he would make a great nation and that he would bless him.

Elohim kept his promise to Abraham. Abraham was blessed of Elohim, his seed was blessed and those that blessed Abraham was blessed.

Jesus Christ came through that same blessed seed of Abraham which allows us to receive the benefits of those blessing and beyond. Have faith in God (Elohim). Faith comes by hearing; hearing the word of God (Elohim).
