Worship

He alone is worthy

leavesSinging. . . “For he alone is worthy, for he alone is worthy, for he alone is worthy Christ our Lord. So lift those hands in worship, lift those hands in worship, lift those hands to worship Christ our Lord.” The meaningful verses of this worship song allow our mind to focus on Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) before we enter into prayer. Prayer simply is talking to God, our creator. Worship is the greatest form of honor, reverence and homage that we give to Jesus as our Savior. John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoso ever believeth on him will not perish but will have everlasting life.” Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) is the atoning sacrifice, the mercy seat, of our sins through faith in his blood. To declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.

Worship is defined as the activity of worshipping, a feeling of profound love and admiration. Worship in action is love unquestioningly, uncritically, excessive love towards, and to venerate as an idol. The sacrifice that Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) made on the cross is one that is difficult to understand at times because of the way the punishment was consummated. Jesus was accused on false charges, taken to court to be publically humiliated, finally to hear from the judge that, “I find no fault with this man”. The people urged that Jesus be put to death in the worse manner possible; death by crucifixion. Before Jesus hung on the cross, the men that held him in captivity beat him throughout the night. Jesus was made to carry his own cross through the town as the people mocked him with scorn, shame, and disrespect as the Son of God. Jesus died on the cross as an innocent man.

basketOne of the many reasons we worship him is the very love that he showed toward us on the cross. He died for a sinful world as a guilty man; although the courts clearly showed that he was an innocent man. Our worship to him displays our honor and veneration to him for the sacrifice that he made on the cross for our sins. For this cause we must worship Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) as our savior. Singing, “For he alone is worthy, for he alone is worthy, for he alone is worthy Christ our Lord. So lift those hands in worship, lift those hands in worship, lift those hands to worship Christ our Lord.”
